We are very adaptable to the conditions and the needs of any event.
DNA Sound Group has supplied audio for Surfing Queensland since 1997 and has covered all their events for 18 years and has always delivered a professional service with good sound reproduction. For all types of events in some iconic locations in Queensland.
Australian Open Of Surfing
Held at Manly Beach Early February for the last 3 years. This Festival of Surfing attracts up to 150,000 over a 10-day period covering part of Manly beach and incorporates a world-class surf event, a pro Skateboard events and a concert on the beach. This event has a distributed audio system with 5 zones and separate volume control. Incorporating VIP, Beach and Skate giving complete audio coverage over the site during the event.
NSW State Title
The NSW SLSA State Titles plays host up to 12000 competitors and families over a 2 week period and covers approx. 1.8 Km. of Beach for the first week and approx. 2.4km of beach with the opens and Boat events being held on the last weekend. This event requires audio coverage along the length of the Open, Masters and Nippers events and another PA is used for the Boat event.
Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach
Held at Bells Beach every Easter since 1969 and boasts the best surfers in the world. It is one of the premier Professional Surf events in the world. Geographically spanning from the Winkie Pop car park to the cliffs at the end of the beach. DNA Sound Group successfully supplied audio for this event for 17 years and were responsible for adding mobility for the event and achieving audio out into the line up for competitors. Audio systems of this type were introduced to this event in 1991, which we were involved with. We took over management of this system in 1997 and continued to provide good quality sound until 2008 also helping to pioneer webcasts.
Billabong Tahiti Pro
The Billabong Pro held in Tahiti has been running since 2000 and before that it was the Gotcha Pro. We have supplied audio for this event since 1999 and successfully covered all areas and achieved real time audio in areas km from each other. Set in the middle of a lagoon in Tahiti, a place called Teahupoo. We achieved excellent sound reinforcement out to competitors and all through the public area.
Kingscliff/Byron Bay Triathlons
These 2 events are large Triathlons that require a large area of sound reinforcement. The event caters for large numbers of competitors and requires audio coverage over the finish area and Transition area as well as at swim starts.
Streets Beach Volley Ball
Streets Beach Volleyball was a tour that went to most Capital cities and was a hi action production with loud MC’s and lots of pumped up music.
We supplied audio for these events from 2000 until 2004.
Speed on Tweed Hill Climb
This event covered the Murwillumbah Showgrounds and up and into the main street of Murwillumbah. The audio covered all these areas and all of the Pit area. This was one of the premier hill climb events in Australia attracting competitors from all over Australia.
Sprite Snowboard Event
This event was held at Thredbo from 1996 to 2007 and incorporated 3 snowboard disciplines. The Big Air, the Half Pipe and the boarder Cross event. We supplied audio from the start to the finish of this event in the snowfields in any type of weather.
Perisher X Games
This is a world-class snow event that was patronised from competitors from all over the world. We supplied coverage for all disciplines and over the whole event in all types of weather and conditions.
Gold Coast Titans Push for NRL
We supplied a PA System at the Carrara Stadium on the Gold Coast for the Titans RL club to hold trail games to obtain a NRL licence. We achieved good sound reinforcement for crowds between 30000 and 40000 and also covered the halftime and before game entertainment.
